As your daughter approaches the end of Year 5 we begin to prepare them for this next step. Our Head of Year 7 makes regular visits to help with the girls’ transition well before September.
In the Summer Term of Year 5, you will be informed about the Senior School admissions process and your daughter will enjoy a fun, informal activity morning with their peers over at the Senior School. In the Autumn Term of Year 6, we will host a social evening, usually in Redland Hall, for parents to hear more about the transition to Year 7. Following on from this, your daughter will have the opportunity to attend a Year 7 taster day and experience three lessons as though they are a senior.
In their final term of the Junior School, your daughter will go to an induction day where they will meet their form tutor for Year 7 and their future classmates. Two more activity days during the summer holidays help make it as smooth a transition as possible into the Senior School.
